Monkey Business: Binti, the female gorilla who captured hearts by rescuing an injured boy at an Illinois zoo last week, is being honored in Woodland Hills by followers of the late Edgar Rice Burroughs, who created Tarzan. The Burroughs Bibliophiles will salute Binti with their “Kala” award, named for the ape who rescued John Clayton Greystoke--better known as Tarzan in the stories. . . . Burroughs’ descendants still operate the company that controls the Tarzan name from offices located on Ventura Boulevard in Tarzana. The Bibliophiles are meeting today and tomorrow at the Warner Center Marriott.
