Dayton Hudson to Sell 4 Marshall Field’s: Dayton Hudson Corp. said it agreed to sell its four Marshall Field’s stores in Texas to concentrate on its Field’s stores in its main Midwestern market. Saks Holding Inc. will buy three of the stores and Federated Department Stores Inc. will purchase the fourth, which will be operated by Federated’s Macy’s West division. The four stores have total annual revenue of about $120 million. Minneapolis-based Dayton Hudson said the sale is expected to result in a slight gain in the fourth quarter. The retailer didn’t disclose specific financial details. In the second quarter, the department store unit’s operating profit declined to $10 million from $24 million as overall sales dipped 2% and sales at stores open at least a year fell 4%.
