A 19-year-old Ventura man had his car stolen at knifepoint Wednesday morning on the Main Street bridge, police said.

Felix Sanchez was waiting about 7:50 a.m. for the signal to turn green on the single lane bridge when two men approached his gray 1988 Nissan Pulsar, said Lt. Steve Bowman of the Ventura Police Department.

One of the men opened Sanchez’s door and pulled a knife on him demanding in Spanish that he get out or they would kill him, Bowman said.

Sanchez got out of the car and the men--described as about 30 years old with shaved heads--got in and drove off, he said.
