JetHawks Crash and Burn in Bottom of the Ninth, 4-3
SAN BERNARDINO — Cliff Anderson singled home Jason Baker with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning to give San Bernardino a 4-3 victory over the JetHawks on Saturday night.
A throwing error by JetHawk right fielder Jesus Marquez allowed Ryan Luzinski to score the tying run. Baker took second on the throw.
The JetHawks’ Dusty Wathan broke a 2-2 tie with his eighth home run in the top of the ninth.
The JetHawks spoiled a solid outing by Ken Cloude, who struck out nine and allowed six hits with no walks in seven innings.
San Bernardino’s Dennis Reyes struck out nine in six innings.
The JetHawks wind up the season today at 5:05 p.m. Greg Wooten (8-3) pitches against Tom Price (4-3) of San Bernardino.
