The Bartons of Lancashire in north England have been associated with Bordeaux since 1725, when Thomas Barton began sending to Britain.

On Tuesday, Anthony Barton, great-great-grandson of the family’s first wine trader, is the guest at a six-course dinner featuring 14 wines of the Barton family, owners of Cha^teaux Leoville-Barton and Langoa-Barton.

He will introduce the 1994 Bordeaux vintage of Chateaux Leoville-Barton, Lynch-Bages and Cos d’Estournel. In addition, guests will have the chance to taste a range of classic vintages from 1975 to 1988.
