Parents Can Register Kids for Safety’s Sake
KIDS USA, a nonprofit organization that works to return missing and kidnapped children to their parents, will register youngsters for its national database Saturday and Sunday at Fashion Island.
Organization workers will fingerprint children from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in front of the Robinsons-May department store.
Each child will receive an identification card. The service is free.
When police agencies find missing children they send fingerprints to KIDS USA, which uses its database to track down the parents, said Mark Larson, a spokesman for the Newport Beach-based organization.
