16-Unit Condo Project in La Habra Headed for Approval

Plans for a 16-unit condominium complex are headed for final approval later this month.

City Council members gave preliminary approval this week to the project, which is proposed for North Walnut Street near Whittier Boulevard.

If given final approval, developers said that construction would begin in six months and that the condominiums would be ready for sale in a year.

The sale prices for the homes are unknown.

Plans call for three-bedroom Spanish-Mediterranean-style homes ranging in size from 1,200 square feet to nearly 1,600 square feet, said Nick Wang, the project’s architect. Each condo would have a two-car garage, he said.

The proposed complex also includes green space with palm trees and shrubs and several children’s play areas, Wang said. Two houses currently on the lots will be demolished, he said.

Final approval will be considered by the City Council at its Jan. 16 meeting.
