Ingram Micro Appoints Two New Vice Presidents

Matthew A. Sauer has been appointed vice president of human resources administration for Ingram Micro Inc. in Santa Ana, a wholesale distributor of technology products and services. He succeeds Harold Pierce, who left the company in September. Sauer’s position will be expanded to cover both U.S. and worldwide operations. He most recently served as corporate head of human resources at Southland Corp. in Dallas. In addition, Terry L. Tysseland has been named to the newly created position of vice president of distribution operations. He will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company’s nine U.S. distribution centers. Tysseland previously held the post of division president of the McLane Co.

* Jim Westphal has been appointed national accounts manager at Centor Corp. in Garden Grove, an engineering data publisher and software developer. He was previously a national sales executive at Circle International and Sentry Transport, a general manager for a subsidiary of Sunwest Bank and a regional manager with Leasametric.

* Ivan Simovich has joined PLC Land Co. as vice president of construction for its Huntington Seacliff project in Huntington Beach and a residential/golf course development in La Habra. He has been involved in such developments as La Costa, the Jack Nicklaus Championship Golf Course at Dove Canyon and the Wood Ranch project for the Olympic/Roberts Co.

* Michael C. Carter has joined the Cypress College Foundation board of directors. He is vice president and chief operating officer of Anaheim Memorial Medical Center.

* Suzanne Waddell has joined Catellus Residential Group in Irvine, a subsidiary of Catellus Development Corp., as corporate accounting manager. She was formerly a senior associate with the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand LLP. Thomas Cooperman has been named senior financial analyst and Dominique DeCayette financial analyst for the group’s urban housing division. Cooperman joined the company from the home building firm of J.M. Peters Co., where he was a senior business planner and financial analyst. DeCayette was previously a senior budget analyst with the New York City mayor’s Office of Management and Budget.

* Timothy M. Harmon has been named executive vice president of merchandising for Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. in Anaheim. He was previously senior vice president of merchandising. Harmon has been with the company since 1991.

* David D. Yeast has joined Vans Inc., an Orange footwear and apparel maker, as national sales manager for Vans Apparel. He was formerly a strategic account manager at Adidas.

* Jeff Gibbons has joined Printronix Inc., an Irvine printer manufacturer, as vice president, worldwide marketing. He was previously vice president, sales and marketing at Output Technology Corp. Hank Schmidt, former director of marketing, has been appointed director of Americas and Asia/Pacific sales.

* Raoul A. Novak has been named managing director of Orange County operations for the California Manufacturing Technology Center. He is responsible for developing and managing the Anaheim office. Novak was previously manufacturing services manager for Control Composites in Rancho Santa Margarita.

* Willard E. Dunlap has been appointed president of the construction, rehabilitation and seismic retrofit division of Shaw & Sons in Costa Mesa. Dunlap had been vice president of construction for Irvine Retail Properties and Irvine Office Companies, divisions of the Irvine Co.

* Wayne A. Condict has been named vice president-associate senior underwriter for First American Title Insurance Co. in Santa Ana. He had been vice president-associate national claims counsel. Succeeding him in that position is James J. Dufficy, who had been vice president-regional claims counsel for First American in Phoenix since 1994.

* Douglas C. Sturgess has been named treasurer and director of finance for Experian in Orange, the group of information businesses formerly owned by TRW Inc. and purchased by Great Universal Stores PLC last month. Sturgess was previously director of finance and operations for TRW Information Systems & Services prior to the company’s spinoff from TRW on Sept. 19.
