CAREER AT A GLANCE: A senior midfielder, Almaraz has helped Buena to a 77-13-11 record in 3 1/2 varsity seasons. In that time, Buena has won three Channel League titles and appeared in two Southern Section divisional semifinals and a divisional final. Almaraz has 22 goals and 22 assists the past two seasons. Edged out of the 32-team tournament’s final on a points system, Buena (9-2-1) defeated Santa Cruz Harbor, 3-2, in the third-place match on a pair of overtime goals by Almaraz.
