GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED
It’s embarrassing: Towns in Europe with a fraction of our size and resources regard erecting something like an opera house as essential to both their cultural identity and civic pride. They also seem to do it pretty easily.
In all the articles The Times has run about Disney Hall’s financial problems (including The Year in Review, Dec. 29), I have yet to see where ordinary citizens should send donations. Whether they use it or not, presumably the major donor types already have the address!
If you will run the name and address for donations in response to this letter, my wife and I will contribute. Perhaps a lot of others will too.
