Goaltender Guy Hebert had a sudden change of plans Wednesday when he was added to the roster for Saturday’s NHL All-Star game in San Jose, replacing injured Detroit goalie Chris Osgood.

“Had to cancel a trip to Vegas,” Hebert said.

Hebert has recovered from a poor start to lower his goals-against average to 2.73 and improve his save percentage to .915.

“You always like to think maybe some day you’ll be in that company,” Hebert said. “I was happy just being on the ballot, I won’t kid you.”
