Theme Announced for ’97 County Fair
“Reach for the Stars” has been selected as the theme for the 1997 Ventura County Fair, which runs from Aug. 13 to 24.
“That’s really what the fair is about,” said Charles Schwabauer, president of the Seaside Park board of directors. “Everybody involved with the fair--staff, volunteers, exhibitors, concessionaires and performers--reaches for the stars every year, keeping our fair focused on excellence.”
The fair theme will be incorporated into exhibits, competitions, stage design and promotions. Past fair themes have included “Makin’ Magic,” “Through a Child’s Eyes” and “A Harvest of Heritage.”
The fair is held at Seaside Park, 10 W. Harbor Blvd., Ventura.
