Antarctic Trip

“From Inner City to Igloos” (Jan. 15), an educational yet inspiring story about two kids traveling to the continent of Antarctica, was an absolute delight to read. In light of pressing issues such as Ebonics, drugs and gang activity, here’s a story on kids from the same areas where these problems often occur, exploring a whole new world. I certainly applaud the individuals responsible for their expedition and The Times on inviting the article.

I hope to see more highlights of children making a difference in Los Angeles, as their experiences will further impact their peers and others watching.
