In Brief
Sometimes Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Flesh-N-Bone comes to the fore with rhymes that could be characterized as urban psalms. The Cleveland rapper melds biblical references to the afterlife, Armageddon and morality to the more visual aspects of street life, making for an album that’s filled with profound themes. Despite a somewhat pedestrian, funk-based production, such songs as the melodious “T.H.U.G.S,” the gentle “World So Cruel” and the grim “Sticks and Stones” keep this album from being a waste of time.
