Messina Named President, Chief Executive at Troy Systems

* Robert S. Messina has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Troy Systems Inc., a Santa Ana check-printing technology company. Messina was formerly executive vice president and general manager. He joined the company in 1994 as vice president of sales and marketing.

* William H. Amadon has been appointed corporate controller for Pacific Scientific Co. in Newport Beach. He succeeds William L. Nothwang, who retired after being corporate controller since 1978. Amadon joined the company from Earth Tech Inc., an international design and consulting firm, where he was corporate controller.

* Gary Schoonyan has joined Edison Mission Energy in Irvine as regional vice president of development for the Americas region. Prior to joining the company, Schoonyan was a liaison to the California Public Utilities Commission and the California Energy Commission, representing Southern California Edison on electric system planning and operating matters.

* Andrew P. Puzder has been appointed to the board of Javelin Systems Inc., a Tustin designer and developer of point-of-sale terminals, increasing the number of directors to five. Puzder is currently vice president and general counsel of Irvine-based Fidelity National Financial Inc. He is also a partner on leave at the Newport Beach law firm of Stradling, Yocca, Carlson & Rauth.

* Tomas Schoenberg has been named senior vice president of acquisitions for Sares-Regis Group, an Irvine real estate company. He is responsible for directing commercial and residential acquisition activity in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. He was formerly a vice president for Kemper Real Estate Management Co.

* Gary Goldhammer has been named vice president in the Irvine division of Nelson Communications Group. Goldhammer will provide strategic counsel, writing and account management services. He joined the company three years ago after owning a public affairs consulting firm.

* Ross Feinberg has been elected president of the Community Associations Institute’s Orange County regional chapter for 1997. He is a partner in the Newport Beach law firm of Feldsott, Lee & Feinberg.

* David A. Rifkin has been named senior account manager for Iris LLC, a Newport Beach software development company. He previously held sales-oriented positions at Epson America.

* Scott M. Geller has joined the Irvine CPA firm of Glenn M. Gelman & Associates as a senior accountant. Geller has six years of public accounting experience and was also a revenue agent with the Internal Revenue Service.

* Debi Hausdorfer has been elected to a two-year term on the California Film Commission marketing committee. She is director of marketing for the Orange County Film commission.

* Naresh K. Chadha has been appointed director of business development for Telecom Solutions Inc. in Lake Forest. He has been in the computer industry for more than 27 years, working at Sperry Univac and TRW.

* Rita Tuttle has joined Shafer, an Irvine advertising and public relations firm, as director of investor relations. She was formerly a consultant for an investor relations agency in Portland. Tuttle has also been manager of investor relations at AST Research Inc. and Epic Design Technology Inc.
