Hasta Luego: Deejay Nicole Sandler, above, has been hearing it from her listeners. Ever since her new bosses at KSCA-FM (101.9) announced an upcoming switch from album alternative to Spanish-language format, calls and letters have flooded the Valley station (F1B). . . . Wrote one fan: “The whole city will suffer a grave loss, much more significant than the loss of NFL football.”

Home Boys: The boys in the band, Slush, aren’t ashamed to be Vals. Not only did they name their debut album “North Hollywood,” but the members of this melodic hard rock group also created a Web site that features a cyber tour of NoHo hangouts (F1A). . . . Said singer Johnne Peters: “It’s got real thrift stores and cheap places to eat.”

Hopeless: Valley booksellers say last week’s inauguration did little for sales of President Clinton’s “Between Hope and History.” . . . A bestseller initially, the book quickly faded and became something of a publishing disaster. . . . “There are lots of Democrats in this area,” mused Dave Dutton, a North Hollywood bookstore owner. “But we’re going to end up sending most of our copies back to the publisher.”
