FDA Aide to Run Agency

WASHINGTON —
Food and Drug Administration Commissioner David A. Kessler said Thursday that a top aide will assume his duties after he leaves the agency next month until President Clinton picks a permanent replacement. The aide, Deputy Commissioner Michael Friedman, has been listed among candidates to permanently replace Kessler.
