Sit Command Now Has Bite
Because of the numerous injuries the Kings have had this season, Coach Larry Robinson said he has been unable to follow through with his threat to bench any player whose effort he questioned. Not any more.
With regulars such as forward Craig Johnson returning to the lineup, Robinson can now sit players who he feels are struggling. Thursday, defenseman Steven Finn, who had been sidelined because of a foot injury, was ruled healthy but did not play against Edmonton at the Forum.
“Having [players] watch [when they are not playing well] is something I’ve been saying all year,” Robinson said. “But, I didn’t always have enough guys. Now, I have that luxury.”

Forward Ian Laperriere did not play against the Oilers because of a head injury he suffered last week against Vancouver.
