Welterweight Jaime Ocegueda, who made a name for himself by upsetting top contender Mark Lewis last September, will face Marco Antonio Ludwig of Acapulco, Mexico, in tonight’s main event at the Irvine Marriott.

A month after losing a 10-round decision to Ocegueda at the Marriott, Lewis upset Carlos Gonzalez, the World Boxing Organization’s No. 1 contender in the junior welterweight division.

Ocegueda (15-1-3, seven knockouts), of Pico Rivera, fought journeyman Russell Mosley to a 10-round draw in November at the Marriott but has been inactive while going through a managerial change. Ramirez (24-10-1, 19 knockouts), of Acapulco, is coming off 10-round decision losses to prospects Ross Thompson and Manny Sobral.
