Bone Marrow Drive to Aid Young Mother
Friends and relatives of a Huntington Beach woman with leukemia are organizing a bone marrow drive in hopes of finding a potential donor.
Jennifer Borzoni-Klaiber, 22, had leukemia since she was 18. The disease had been in remission after chemotherapy and radiation treatments, but it reappeared last year after she gave birth to her daughter.
The bone marrow drive will be April 17 at Knott’s Berry Farm from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Anyone 18 to 60 and in good health can take a simple blood test to register with the National Donor Program, which makes matches for people in need of transplants.
Knott’s Berry Farm is at 8039 Beach Blvd., Buena Park.
Information: (800) 535-7119, Ext. 8483.
