Wilson Prescribes Rest, No Practice
Coach Ron Wilson, trying to rest his weary team, called off practice Thursday in Chicago, Saturday in Detroit and Monday in Anaheim. The Ducks probably won’t practice Thursday after playing on consecutive nights.
But Wilson said he is thinking of holding a four-day mini-camp during a break between games next week to sharpen the Ducks for the playoffs.

The Ducks exceeded Wilson’s expectations by going 3-3 on the just-concluded six-game trip to Colorado, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Chicago and Detroit.
“I thought that .500 would be pretty good, four wins would be unbelievable and two wins would put us in a playoff position,” he said.

The Ducks are one point away from tying their franchise-best of 78 points set last season. They have 77 points going into the season’s final five games.
