Cleanup Day Helpers and Supplies Sought
The city needs helpers and supplies for Neighbors to Neighbors cleanup day, when volunteers and officials work together to improve the appearance of Westside communities.
Plants, trees, shrubs, paint, paint brushes and rollers, work gloves, trash bags, drop cloths and rubber gloves are needed, as are volunteers.
Chores will include pulling weeds, planting trees, painting and collecting trash. Food donated by local restaurants will be provided for those who help.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon April 19 and will focus on 20 locations along Pomona and Wallace avenues and Canyon Park, 970 Arbor Drive.
