A Rugrats Passover: Paramount Home Video. 35 minutes. $10.98-$12.95. “Let my babies go. . . .” Angelica is Pharoah, Tommy is Moses and Chuckie and the twins are Hebrew slaves in diapers, in this re-release of the disarming Nickelodeon special enacting the Passover story.

In a lively mix of comedy, quips, songs and sincerity, Shari Lewis, Lambchop, Hush Puppy and Charlie Horse celebrate Passover with a little help from friends Dom DeLuise (who cooks Seder dinner), Robert Guillaume, Alan Thicke and Charlie’s fifth-grade class.

Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel’s reminiscences and his message about the passing on of tradition from generation to generation serve as a wraparound for this heartfelt combination of live action, animation and illustrations by Mark Podwal, as viewers share a family’s Seder celebration.
