Kennedy High is rearming for the rematch.

Two days after a 12-1 loss to Chatsworth, the Golden Cougars are expected to start ace right-hander Jon Garland (5-1) against the Chancellors in a Northwest Valley Conference baseball game at 3 p.m. today at Cal State Northridge.

Kennedy (13-7, 5-2), the two-time defending City Section 4-A Division champion, is ranked eighth in The Times’ regional poll. Unranked Chatsworth (11-5, 6-1) features Greg Wold, who had four hits and four runs batted in Tuesday. Wold is batting .454 and has a 3-2 pitching record.
