Spotlight: Rockwell to Help China Online
Seal Beach-based Rockwell International Corp. said it signed an agreement with China’s Ministry of Electronics Industry to help the country’s electronics firms develop computer modem components and wireless communications systems. Rockwell is one of the largest producers of the chips used in such products. Chairman Donald Beall said sales in China could reach $1.5 billion annually within six years. Beall is in China this week meeting officials and reviewing the company’s Asia strategy.
