AIDS Patients’ Home to Hold Fund-Raiser
Annie’s House, a nonprofit group that operates a home in Huntington Beach for people with AIDS, is holding a fund-raiser Sunday in Irvine.
The residence serves as a home for about five people at a time who otherwise might not have a place to stay or be able to keep up their own homes, said Patricia McCabe, president of Annie’s House.
Residents are referred by the Orange County AIDS Services Foundation, and stay until they can no longer care for themselves, or need serious medical attention, McCabe said.
The organization is also looking for volunteers to join its board of directors, and donations of items such as lightbulbs, books and magazines, cleaning supplies, fruits and vegetables, theater passes and videos.
