* UPDATE: Langston, who told Manager Terry Collins he didn’t mind pitching on three days rest but “couldn’t stay ready” if he had five or six days in between starts, was the impetus behind the Angels’ decision to go with a four-man rotation for the next couple of weeks. Saturday, Kansas City pounded Langston--who was pitching after five days of rest--for 10 hits and six runs in five innings. Hentgen has averaged almost eight innings per outing in his four starts. But opponents are hitting .291 against him, the Blue Jays have scored an average of fewer than four runs in his starts and Toronto is 1-3 in games he has started.
