Girl, 4, Refuses to Testify About Kidnap
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A 4-year-old girl who saw her mother abducted pulled a blanket over her head and lay on the floor rather than testify against the man accused in the kidnapping. Shaina Streyle had been brought into the town library, where she was to testify at the trial of Robert Leroy Anderson via closed-circuit TV so that she would not have to face the man. Anderson is charged with kidnapping Piper Streyle, 28, last July. She has not been seen since and is presumed dead. The little girl had identified Anderson as the kidnapper, though he denies it.
