Nuanes played a key role in Santa Margarita’s upset of then top-ranked Woodbridge at the Orange County Championships. She won the 800 meters (2 minutes 17.79 seconds), 1,600 (5:08.79) and 3,200 (11:10.32) and anchored the Eagles’ 1,600 relay team, which placed fourth, giving Santa Margarita a 1/2-point margin of victory.

* Rosary, senior. Pitched two five-inning, mercy-rule shortened no-hitters last week, including a perfect game against Saddleback.
