Techniclone Stock Dips

Techniclone Corp. stock dropped in heavy trading Thursday, but the cancer therapeutics company said it knows of no reason for the unusual activity. The stock fell 5.9%, or 25 cents a share, closing at $4 in Nasdaq trading.

About 108,000 shares changed hands, up from average daily volume of 47,386.

“All clinical trials and product development programs continue on schedule, and we are encouraged by their progress,” said William V. Moding, the company’s chief financial officer.
