2 Suspects in Stabbing Arrested

Two men suspected of stabbing a Fillmore man with a celery cutter after crashing into his car were arrested in Port Hueneme.

Martin Pamatz Martinez, 25, and 22-year-old Alejandro Cisneros Lucas, both of Port Hueneme, are suspected of rear-ending a car driven by 25-year-old Michael Thompson on Ventura Road at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday. They allegedly attacked him as he tried to write down their license plate number, Port Hueneme Police Det. Daniel Morgan said.

One of the men allegedly used a celery cutter with a foot-long blade and sharpened tip to cut Thompson’s arm and shin.

Authorities said the arrests came later in the day, after the hit-and-run vehicle was spotted in a garage in the 1000 block of 7th Street. In the garage, officers also found a celery cutter identical to the one used in the attack, Morgan said.

Martinez and Lucas were arrested and taken to the Port Hueneme police station, but declined to give investigators a statement, according to Morgan. Thompson later identified them as his attackers, Morgan said.
