Ducks Need Bucks to Continue to Grow

Mr. Eisner, continue to put some of your profit dollars back into the team in order to get them to the next level. We got out of the basement and onto the first floor, but this is a four-story building and Ron Wilson needs your help. The competition for the sports dollars is in Southern California is extreme, so you’d best get some additional quality players or your no-shows in a reported “sellout” will become a serious embarrassment.

As a boy growing up in Southern California my dad took me to Laker games, Dodger games and Angel games. We had season tickets to USC football. We saw the Kings in the Stanley Cup playoffs and witnessed the Miracle on Manchester.

Now with a 1 1/2-year-old son I must decide where I will take him to introduce him to athletic competition. After following the Ducks this year through a horrible start, their comeback to the playoffs and their courageous performance in the first two rounds, I have decided my son will be brought up a Ducks fan.
