PREP TRACK AND FIELD ROUNDUP

In the Orange League:

Brea sweeps--The host Wildcats, ranked fifth in the county, scored 242 points to win the boys’ meet and 237 to win the girls’ meet.

Shawn Tellez won the high jump (6-0) and triple jump (42-9 3/4), Jim Norum took the discus (166-3) and shot put (50-10 3/4), and Michael Solis pulled off the distance double, winning the 1,600 (4:29.11) and 3,200 (9:51.89) for Brea.

Sarah Bonilla won both hurdle events--100 (16.39) and 300 (45.35)--and Maika Nelson won the 200 (25.34) and 800 (2:22.57) to lead the Brea girls.
