Howard Morton; Co-Star of ‘The Munsters Today’

Howard Morton, 71, veteran character actor who co-starred in “The Munsters Today.” Morton worked regularly on television, but is perhaps best remembered as Grandpa Munster. He also played the bumbling Officer Simpson on the long-running NBC series “Gimme a Break.” A native of New York City, he moved to Hollywood in the 1960s and soon became popular in several television sitcoms, many for Norman Lear.
