A housing developer will build 130 fewer homes than originally proposed for La Habra Hills under a plan approved by the City Council.

“This is a superb project,” Councilman Steven C. Anderson said of the development, which will include a golf course. “It’s a benefit to our whole city.”

Four hundred homes will be built between Beach Boulevard and Idaho Street, 130 fewer than specified in earlier plans. Each acre of land will hold four to nine homes.

The project is expected to be completed in 1999, city officials said.
