Robinson, Kings OK Contract
From Staff and Wire Reports
Coach Larry Robinson and the Kings agreed to terms Friday on the remaining two years of his four-year contract.
Robinson, who has a 52-83-29 record in two seasons with the Kings, had a mutual escape clause after this past season, and neither he nor the Kings exercised the option.
“Our ownership has committed a great deal of money in trying to build a championship team,” said Robinson, who signed a four-year contract worth around $3 million in 1995, “and I feel that at least the players and coaches can do is show our loyalty to them.”
