Remodeling magazine has named Westlake Village-based Al Lowe Construction to its annual Big 50 list, a designation denoting excellence in the industry. The winners were chosen from among 400,000 remodelers nationwide.

Lowe, a 20-year resident of Camarillo, received the award at a conference in the nation’s capital last month.

His company has been a major builder in Ventura County and surrounding areas for 17 years. Last year the 18-employee company grossed $1.9 million.
