Simi Valley police officers on patrol early Monday morning pulled over a car full of young men suspected of robbing a Simi Valley market at gunpoint.

Police arrested four men and two boys in the car. They are suspected of robbing the Kuehner Mobil Mart in the 2300 block of Kuehner Drive about 11:40 p.m. Sunday.

During the holdup, a gunman and his partner approached cashier Ubaldo Serrano, 23, pointed a gun at him and demanded money, said Simi Valley Police Det. John Parks.

The two ran from the store and jumped into a waiting car that was parked at a freeway onramp, Parks said.

Authorities believe the group fled to the San Fernando Valley but returned about an hour later. Officers on patrol spotted the car driving west on the 118 Freeway toward Moorpark and pulled it over, Parks said.

With a police dog and seven officers at the scene, the group of suspected robbers was taken into custody without incident.
