Business Community to Host Awards Lunch to Honor Safety Personnel

The business community will honor police, firefighters, employees and volunteers during the Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce 34th Public Safety Awards Luncheon, planned for July 11 at the Westin South Coast Plaza.
Police honorees will be Senior Officer Bill Redmond, traffic secretary Carolyn Giffen, volunteer Stan Brown and Senior Reserve Officer Dennis Casteel. The Fire Department will salute Firefighter Henry “Val” Santo, Battalion Chief James Ellis, volunteer Shirley Jandron and Donna Hinshaw, a management analyst and public information officer.
The Communications Department will recognize Officer Susan Larimore and Supervisor Judy Covey.
Reservations must be made by July 7. Tickets are $28 a person and include lunch.
The event will begin at 11:45 a.m. The Westin is at 686 Anton Blvd., near the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Registration forms are available at Chamber headquarters, 1835 Newport Blvd., E-270.
