Faria Takes First in Speedway Event
COSTA MESA —
Mike Faria of Apple Valley won the four-lap scratch main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program in front of 4,928 Saturday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Shawn McConnell of Brea finished second and Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano came in third.
Oxley won the eight-lap handicap main event with McConnell second and Jerry Black of San Bernardino third.
