Bullfrogs End Woes With Road Victory

The Bullfrogs snapped a five-game road losing streak with a 12-5 victory over the San Jose Rhinos Saturday night at the San Jose Arena.

Todd Wetzel, Joe Cook and Chris Newans each scored twice for the Bullfrogs. Doug McCarthy had a goal and four assists and Rick Judson had a goal and three assists for Anaheim, which handed the Rhinos their first regulation loss of the season.

Bullfrog goaltender Rob Laurie stopped 34 shots to earn the victory and remain unbeaten at 5-0.

The victory moves the Bullfrogs to within a point of the first-place Rhinos in the Western Conference with a 6-3 record and 12 points. The Rhinos are 6-1-1.
