The company that virtually trademarked family fun is promoting “Adult Vacations” on its new cruise line, with two ships scheduled to sail between Port Canaveral, Fla., and the Bahamas next year.

The Disney Cruise Line’s new brochure doesn’t mention X-rated movies or anything else that Mickey Mouse wouldn’t endorse, but it does promise an onboard restaurant, swimming pool, spa, nightclubs and comedy shows reserved for adults only.

The brochure is aimed at couples traveling alone and also parents who want some time alone, a spokeswoman said. A separate “General” brochure mixes in family entertainment; one whole deck is devoted to children’s activities.

Meanwhile, at Walt Disney World itself, the 1,967-room Coronado Springs Resort, aimed at both leisure and business travelers, is scheduled to open Friday, boosting the resort’s inventory of rooms past 19,000. It includes a 95,000-square-foot convention center. Rooms start at $126.54, including taxes. Reservations: (407) 934-7639.
