To mow a total of 42 acres at nine city parks, the city staff is recommending Professional Landscape Enterprises of Yorba Linda, which was the low bidder at $4,600 a month.

By contracting out the mowing, the city will free municipal workers for full-time maintenance duty at Placentia Champions Sports Complex, officials said. The sports fields must be in top condition for regular season play, tournaments and special events, staff said.
