Two new music specials light up this weekend’s television fare.

HBO presents “Garth Live From Central Park” at 8 tonight. Garth Brooks, the biggest-selling solo recording artist in the United States, will be singing his greatest hits in this free concert in New York’s Central Park.

If show tunes are more your cup of tea, check out A&E;’s “The Ira Gershwin Centenary Concert,” Saturday at 7 and 11 p.m. Liza Minnelli, Tony Bennett, Petula Clark and Maureen McGovern are among the performers in the two-hour tribute to the lyricist--and older brother of composer George Gershwin--that was taped at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Among the Gershwin standards featured are “I Got Rhythm,” “The Man I Love” and “Embraceable You.”
