Spark update--Just when you had the Sparks counted out, had them pegged as a team destined to fall far short of potential . . . they pull off a masterpiece. They flew into Cleveland on Wednesday after routing New York, 67-50. Now they face a Cleveland team that had its league-record eight-game win streak snapped by Houston on Tuesday. Spark reserve Mwadi Mabika sat out the New York game because of an ankle sprain and starting guard Penny Toler had to leave the game in the first half because of an upset stomach. Toler returned and scored 16 points. Cleveland activated point guard Jenny Boucek Wednesday. She missed 15 games because of a lower back injury. The Spark challenge tonight is to neutralize the Rockers’ inside players, Isabelle Fijalkowski and Janice Braxton.
