The first installment of the NFL’s interest-free $4 million loan to the Canadian Football League will be wired to the league’s headquarters Thursday in Toronto, chairman John Tory said Wednesday. Tory wouldn’t say how much was being sent, but the eight franchises can expect their share by Friday.

The NFL’s advance, combined with $4 million in revenue from television, sponsorship and licensing revenue, means CFL clubs will receive $1 million each from the league by the end of this season.
