Dee Higby has been elected president of South Coast Repertory’s board of trustees for the 1997-98 season, succeeding J. Michael Hagan. She joined the board in 1992 and has served as a vice president for development, as well as community relations. Higby chaired the Costa Mesa theater’s 30th season celebration, which raised more than $200,000 for the county’s only professional resident theater company.
