Re “PETA Gets Roasted While Hot-Dogging” (July 27): Why do I get the impression whenever I read about People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and its antics that they are a bunch of frustrated, wannabe performers?

Dressing up as pigs or parading turkeys around in wheelchairs is cute, but what happens to millions of animals deemed not cute enough by PETA is not. And that is that millions of cats and dogs die or suffer each year in pounds and on the streets.
