Native Americans Will Mark Park Centennial
Native Americans from all over Orange County will gather in Irvine Regional Park on Saturday and Sunday for a celebration of the park’s centennial.
The public is invited to participate in the free event, which will feature traditional Native American song and dance, arts, crafts, food and a cultural artifact exhibit.
Park guests will also be able to learn intertribal and friendship dances and listen to the live performances of contemporary Native American artists, including the Chumash Coyote Singers, Carlos Reynosa and Rain and flutist Bill Neil, “Elk Whistle.”
The event runs from 11 a.m. to about 10 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to about 6 p.m. Sunday. There is no admission charge, but parking is $4 per vehicle. The park is at 1 Irvine Park Road in Orange.
