Magnitude 3.7 Quake Registered Off Coast

A magnitude 3.7 earthquake off the San Diego County coast near the southern tip of San Clemente Island occurred Tuesday at 5:34 a.m., Caltech seismologists reported. The earthquake was several miles west of quakes of magnitude 4.5, 4.3 and 4.1 that took place June 19 and 20 and, like them, was in the offshore San Clemente fault zone. None of the temblors caused any damage.
